Mark finished 3rd in the solo single speed category at Cheddar Bikefest in 2008 then went on to win the Single Speed Pairs event with teammate Andrew at Bristol Bikefest 2009. Mark and Huw have raced in pairs categories for a number of years where the combination of one riding multi-speed and one single speed seemed to pay off, they came 2nd in the 2009 Bontrager Twentyfour12 pairs category and went on to win the Dusky Valleys 12 in 2010.
Dave Buchanan is a well known face on the 24hr racing circuit, and is also a trailblazer where he develops routes for others to have a go at. After a premature end to his football career in 1993, Andrew James bought a bike. After initially sticking to the tarmac, he borrowed his brother's mountain bike one day and hasn’t looked back since. Andrew has been competing in various events since 2002 from 100k Enduros to 24 hours team events and has had a few memorable results, like beating Mark and Huw at the 2005 Rat Run in South Wales. After switching to single speeding a few years ago he teamed up with Mark at the Bristol Bikefest in 2009 and achieved his first ever event win at the ripe old age of 45.
Jonny Williams first raced mountain bikes in the Scottish XC race series as a youth in the mid 1990s.
